Ugh, FINALLY! I finally finished that League story that I had lying around since frigging 2009. The longest lasting 4300 word-story I’ve ever written I guess. What the hell.
It’s really stupid though because I’ve always liked the premise of it. An old champion returning because he can’t stay away from the game. Between ’09 and now I tinkered a lot with his motivations and I will be the first one to admit that this is definitely for the better, but damn – three and a half years? REALLY?
The good news, however, that it’s a good story. Small spelling errors notwithstanding, I’m please with how it came out.
Especially if you know what will happen afterwards (you’ll just have to wait on Brenda to write it).
It’s in English too, so I finally have some prose to share with my english-speaking friends again, too. Yay!
Oooh!! I like!
Want to hear something funny? League stories came into my dreams the other night… It was not exactly the league, but a mix between that and Battle Royale and Hunger Games. Although there was no arena, the fighting was done in the streets and buildings and we worked as teams. Still very interesting.
Haha, dreams like these is what fueled this world to be built in the first place: a combination of Battle Royale and the Unreal Tournament games. A sudden dream during vacation in valkenburg; that spawned the first League story “A bit of luck”.
