07 Marthousands of feet march to the beat

I had another fit test today. While it gave me loads of good news (body fat percentage dropped once again, lung volume is rising, and oh, I’ve officially lost 5 kilo since I started fitness in December). I’ve been stable at 89 kg for a week and a half now, so I guess I’m officially under 90 now. All I have to do now is keep it up, and hope I drop some more :D

However, the fit test was concluded with the addition of a couple of new exercises to my routine and HOLY FUCK I am going to pay for this tomorrow. I already do. I’m all stiff and achy already, so this should be fun. ;) It doesn’t  help that I also did my fitness routine yesterday – I felt guilty because I haven’t done anything about my health in the past week, so now that I did have time & energy, I kind of overdid it. But all for the good cause, right?

In other news, Bodhi seems to be more chill about Charlie’s presence than we initially feared. He obviously doesn’t see Charlie as prey, but more like something interesting, a potential playmate. He often goes to Charlie’s cage check him out, and tried to lick him today. How adorable is that! <3 However, we’re not going to put the two together so they can play. I think Bodhi’s a bit too rough for Charlie. I’m just glad that if Bodhi does escape downstairs (as happened earlier today) it is not a disaster waiting to happen in regards to the bunny. So far, so good.

Buffy our parents current dog never really cared for the hamsters I had. Just thought of them as weird creatures in a cage, pretty much. She watched them and wanted to play with them but she was never interested in killing them. But Fiini, the old dog would sit outside the cage licking her lips. Especially with the gerbils for their tails sometimes swept out of the cage and she was waiting to take a bite. She never managed to. But it was interesting to watch. And the gerbils liked to torment her and if her nose got too close to the cage, they would try to scratch her. :)

It depends a little on the dog itself, I think. We’ve had a retriever next to our bunny before, and there was only mild interest. However, the jack russel from my inlaws went completely nuts :?

Thankfully Bodhi has to be from mostly labrador heritage (and something else we can’t quite put our finger on) and seems more playful than anything else. It’s a good thing Charlie isn’t scared of him at all. We have one brave bunny there; he hardly even flinched when Bodhi licked him <3
