of salt and open wounds
Considering the weather circumstances, we’ll have to bail out on the Soilwork/All That Remains concert tonight. Words can hardly express how much this pisses me off, but I sincerely don’t want to gamble a cartrip to Eindhoven under these circumstances.
My current experiences with the highway around Eindhoven notwithstanding, they’re saying it’ll snow again tonight, and with a puppy waiting for us at home, we can’t really have too many delays. If an hour-and-a-half trip to get there, and another to get back, plus three concerts isn’t already pushing it, then possible delays will only make it worse. And poor Bodhi just needs to pee once in a while, you know?
And this is not even counting the fact that we might very well crash Tangy again. I don’t doubt that the highways should be doable, but the Effenaar is located smack in the middle of the city center of Eindhoven. I don’t wanna know how bad it is there. Especially with more snow and intense cold forecasted tonight.
This FUCKING sucks. Thankfully I know that both Soilwork and ATR will play at Graspop Metal Meeting this year, for which we have tickets. It softens the blow a little bit, even though it’s still half a year away and I’ve been excited for THIS particular gig like a little girl. I’ve only been waiting half a year for this.
And then the mail came in today. And guess what it brought? The Soilwork t-shirt that I ordered online a couple of weeks ago. It looks awesome on me, too (makes me wish I still had my red hair). Figures, doesn’t it? What a sense of timing you got, Universe. Now go fuck yourself.
