Johanna undoubtedly laughs in the face of these -7C temperatures, the way we laugh at Australians who complain +10C is cold. But this morning at the station I was damn well freezing my ass off! Holy crap it was cold.
I am very glad I blowdried my wet hair this morning. I think it would have frozen to my head 
At least we won’t be able to say that this year we had a crappy winter. We’ve had exactly two dreary gray days full of rain this January, and the rest has been snow or freezing cold. Usually it is the other way around (with two days of snow and the rest is darkness and greyness and rain and gloom), and despite all of its inconveniences, I like it this way better. And the funny thing is that we’re only one third into the winter at the moment. So yes I long for summer and I am light-deprived and wishing for the sun to return… but it could be lots worse.
