this is going to hurt tomorrow

I’m really doing my best with the fitness thing, and I can see some results. Mostly it is stamina related – on the crosstrainer I now have a stable heartbeat for the whole workout (which is 15 mins). My heartbeat only gets over 155 if I really start running (or if I’m listening to very fast drumming on my mp3player, that makes me want to run faster) but otherwise it’s completely under control. 15 mins on the bike makes for a heartrate of max 135. I can tell you, that’s a world of difference from my first workout in early December. That was pathetic. This is rather lame as well, but there’s progress after three months, and that’s good.

Today I checked out Sportcity here in Rijswijk. Usually I use the one in Leiden because it’s easier to go in straight after work, but last Thursday I was too knackered to much after I got out of work and Friday we went to the party of the birthday boys, so I had to make up for past week. I’m kind of aiming to go at least two times a week, but sometimes there’s just not the time/energy to go both times. But yeah, the Rijswijk center is really nice, too. Close to home, as well. So maybe I could go on my free Fridays, if I can haul my lazy ass out of bed at a decent time before other appointments and parties. That’d be great. :)
