they will not force us, they will stop degrading us

October 22nd, 2009

So in a shocking turn of events, I got myself an iPhone. Well, not very shocking, unless you’re my poor bankaccount that has been paying my T-mobile subscription for years without me ever properly terminating that. Because I was such a moron, I still had my old T-mobile number and subscription still running (and paying) while I was merrily signed up by Vodafone in the meantime. I’m not quite sure what happened here. I can clearly recall writing the termination-of-contract letter, but I cannot recall whether I actually ever sent it out. Also, being the dunce that I am, I never quite registered that when I checked my bankaccount I was actually still paying for the account I didn’t use anymore.

So, when I found out the other day that yes, I still had the T-mobile account, and yes, I could get me an iPhone through that account… it took some soul-searching, but I would REALLY like an iPhone, and I always liked my old telephone number better. The one I have these days just never stuck in my mind for some reason. So I gave in and ordered my new iPhone.

It will arrive in two weeks. Not this Saturday, but the one thereafter. Huzzah! :D

So now I gotta remember to actually CANCEL the Vodafone one…
