So my week off to exclusively work in the house comes to an end. There’s still muchos stuff to do, but Olli has a couple of days off and we’ve taken a huge chunk out of our to-do-list. The computerroom is put on hold for a bit, but the guestroom, master bed room, and livingroom are all painted and prettified. The kitchen is something we’re currently working on (still need to do the ceiling & walls, we did all the woodwork), and we still need to do the stairs and the hallway… but technically, we’re well on our way.
Not in the least because of all the sweet people that have helped us. Last Saturday we had Wendy helping peeling wallpaper off the walls in the guestroom, Monday we had Bren who helped paint the wooden closets in the bedroom, Wednesday we had Bas, Derek and Sanne helping to paint the walls of the bedroom, Saturday Derek and Sanne dropped by again to help me sand the woodworks of the kitchen – and to tape off the parts that shouldn’t be painted (like… you know, windows and such), and today Other Tijs and Marco helped with the woodwork in the kitchen… that paint’s now drying. And thanks to that, we now have the last evening off, and we can finally not feel guilty for relaxing.
