We couldn’t stand to see that empty cage- we really couldn’t. We missed a furry friend who would check up on you what you were doing, something to cuddle with besides each other. The stupid thing is that two weeks ago I cooed over a young bunny in the petstore, that I thought totally adorable… because it was very active, curious, and alert about it’s surroundings. It came to check me out immediately, to tell me hi, when I was looking at him. “Just like Bako,” I said to Olli at the time. Little did we know that two weeks later we’d have lost our own bunny… and this one is now sitting in a new cage in our livingroom.
Enter Charlie. We called him Charlie because of the unicorn (and if you don’t know Charlie the unicorn SHAME ON YOU! educate yourself!) and after Prince Charles of England. Our Charlie has big ears too. And big feet. This one isn’t going to remain very small for long, I think. He’s about eight weeks old, terribly curious, and currently completely occupied with checking out his surroundings and getting used to … well, everything. He’s terribly cute about it, though. <3
