Heh, isn’t it funny? I’m on vacation and suddenly I don’t post anymore… too busy relaxing and enjoying my freedom. Last night Olli asked what I was planning to do today. I looked at him and realized I just… didn’t know. No plans at all, nothing. It made me grin like an idiot. The first week of my vacation I was always with people but for now I seriously have nothing to do, and it’s great.
So far, so good by the way. The barbecueparty was great. I got some lovely birthdaypresents, including my BASS OF AWESOMENESS which I’ll be starting to learn to play come September, and tickets for the Prodigy and Enter Shikari (*sniffles* I’m still soooo happy about that, can’t believe we’re actually GOING!) that Brenda managed to get her hands on through a friend on Popo (thank you Dave, thank you thank you!!) and a digital photoframe (really awesome). Had great talks, laughs, didn’t get too hungover. We sat outside till 4 am or something, and we only had a few drops of rain that lasted for three minutes or something. So it’s a good thing it wasn’t a beachparty but a barbecue in the garden instead.
I might have snapped a few shots but I don’t think it’s anything substantial for a picture gallery, I’ll go and have a see soon.
Yesterday I went to Tijs’ new place and helped a bit with priming the walls for wallpaper. Tijs was playing the Gaslight Anthem, which I find myself liking a lot, especially the song called “Backseat”. It’s a bit Killers-esque but somewhat more punky at times. And sometimes it’s not, and it’s just indie rock-ish. Anyway, I understand why Last.fm’s been claiming I’d like these guys.
But you know the summer always brought it
That wild and reckless breeze
And in the backseat, we’re just trying to find some room for our knees
And in the backseat, we’re just trying to find some room to breathe
