It’s been a productive two days. We’ve worked at the house on Monday, doing a shitload of painting in the livingroom basically. At night Brenda dropped by, which was lovely. We had a bit too much rose wine and lovely talks. I felt groggy in the morning and that didn’t pass until way in the afternoon. The mere five hours of sleep that I had might have had something to do with that, heh.

In the late morning/afternoon we painted the bathroom so it looks actually presentable right now, and scraped off a wall and a half of wallpaper. And that’s when we got the news that Kat found herself an apartment in Haarlem! She had gone to check out a room and apparently it was acceptable, because she, well, accepted it. Um, sorry for that lame wordplay. *smiles* So it seems we’ll have the house alone again realy soon, and Kat will have herself a shiney apartment on spitting distance of Haarlem station. Surely there are worse locations to live! So yeah, I’m really happy for her.

Tomorrow Ol and I are going to paint the newly glued wallpaper so it’s the same colour as the rest of the room and do a few touchups in the bathroom, and then the Siriusstraat should be all set. We’ll get Khalil’s signature that he indeed will accept the house the way it is now, and then we’re totally done there. Yay! Then we can move on to actually do stuff about this place, like getting a pretty floor for the computerroom over here and stuff.

And do stuff like, oh, sleep and cuddle and the like. *smiles* We deserved that. All of us.
