Irish Pubs

I’ve always had this thing for Irish Pubs. For some reason I adore their cosyness, the dark wood, the candles, everything. Those pubs breathe a sort of intimacy I simply love. It’s a bitch they’re as expensive as they are, though.
Because the Lax was closed yesterday we went to the irish Pub O’Reillys. That used to be our standard Friday hangout (for Lie, Bas and me) when we were still on our former study together. I love that place. And we were with a nice group, too! Bas, Mirjam, Tijs, Lie, Sjoerd, Nina, Olli… and Bart.
Who’s Bart, you might ask? Well, that’s Bas’ cousin. And my ex colleague. Bart and I’ve been colleagues at Compuserve/AOL for a year. Ive seen him only once since I quit that horrible company, and I noticed I really missed him. He’s such a weirdo, hanging out with him is heaps of fun.
Nina would have this blind date at 10pm with a guy whose name she barely knew. She really didnt want to go and decided to dump him. So when the time of the date passed eventually the guy called her. She didnt want to pick up, so Bart did… we’ve been making fun of the guy, you won’t believe it. We were laughing so hard that tears were rolling over our faces; we had so much fun!
I hope Bart will join us more often, because it was good to see him again. :)
And tonight I’ll be at the Irish Pub again. It’s work this time. For Team 4 I have to interview people about Baileys and Guinness Beer. YAY! :)
