Why: Olli had some random playlist on (I think it was reddit tv actually) this morning. I was just eating my cereal and doing my morning ritual, and it just hit me. The song doesn’t have any lyrics, as you probably figured from the ‘instrumental’ bit in the genre, but the melody tells a very clear story.
Just listen to the arcs and the tension with your eyes closed and the volume on high and tell me you’re unaffected. I cannot imagine that. The guitars are really, really heartwrenching and intense. I love this song, and I couldn’t let the day pass us by without notifying you of this love.
If my top three of end of year songs hadn’t been so firmly settled already (OMG SO MUCH GOOD NEW MUSIC THIS YEAR) this very well might have been a contender.
So, how was the Steak Number Eight concert in LVC in Leiden? It was wonderful.
