just say yes

I had a quiet weekend – and it’s already Tuesday and still not much is happening… autumn has arrived and suddenly the weather turned dark and dreary. The temperature is dropping too, which makes for excellent sitting-inside-weather. Which is exactly what I did… I watched through the first and half of the second season of Supernatural. Had me a blast doing it, too :D I love the humour they’ve got going on and just the little things in the characterization. I watched bits and pieces of it while Olli watched through the whole series, and as the overall story arc grew more intense in season 4, and now season 5, I’ve seen it all. And it’s SO cool! So I figured I watch the earlier beginnings as well for reference material. Having a blast so far. :)

It made for some weird dreams of course, I dreamed I was condemned. They would hang me on the next morning, but I got one day to set things aright, so I spent that planning my funeral with Ol and my dad (we were all rather dispassionate about the whole thing, I was a bit bewildered by the concept) and then I went into a city, which was a weird cross between Madrid and Amsterdam to some factory to… well, arrange things. I thought I could prove my innocence – there was something like identity theft involved. So I did something there, I have no idea what, it involved some ass kicking. And then I had to go back, and the day was beautiful and sunny, and I walked through the city in the sunlight and felt very surreal. Walked underneath sprinklers that shimmered in the sunlight, and felt really happy for a moment, because this might be my last good moment and I knew I had to make the most of it. Shortly thereafter I woke up, feeling terribly out of it. It was… weird.

Today I played courier for my colleague and delivered a package to a client that had to be there before 3pm. I got the call at 11am, hopped in the car, and the client had it before 1pm. So I did my good deed of the day, haha :)
And now it’s nearly time to go home.

busy busy busy :)

I got a few minutes to myself before everyone comes in here. New job is fine, everyone’s nice and I got this huge stack of documentation to work through. Nice details about the place: they have a radio, and they lunch with everyone together. There’s a supermarket closeby, so everyone just gets sandwiches and we all sit down together. I could learn to love working in a small company again :)

I went to bed exhaustedly at 11pm last night, only to wake up in cold sweat half an hour later because I dreamt that the apartmentbuilding we were in (having a party, boozing it up & watching Fight Club) was on fire and there was no way out and we couldn’t find my cellphone to call the alarm number. Fun times :?

(Question though, for you people… do you have recurring fictional places in your dreams? This apartment building always comes back, as well as a certain warehouse in various forms – I could sketch out the whole floorplan of the place. And it returns pretty much as a setting every few months. You guys got that too or is my brain just lazy thinking up location settings?)

Work’s good, but my head’s definitely busy. Too many impressions! :D I’ll type out my Lowlands report really soon though, don’t want to forget. There’s already pics up if you’re interested at my and Olli’s picasa :)

insanity in the head of the lannie

On a more insane note, I dreamt that I was in a hostage situation in a plane that subconsequently crashed/made a messy emergency landing in a field. But the guy that kept us hostage wouldn’t allow us to go outside – and the moment the help troups would arrive to tend to the wounded or to save us, they’d kill each and every one of us.

And when I sobbed why I wasn’t allowed to get out, going nuts with cabin fever and fear, the guy with the gun said: “There’s the exit. But if you go out, I’ll shoot all survivors one by one.”

And I ran out. I came outside to the ambulances and police, and there was a huge crowd of people there. Olli was there too and everyone was rushing towards me. It was raining and I was crying and I shouted: “No wait, we have to talk – he’s going to kill everyone!”

And then I woke up. :?
